Tristan Bunkowski is the Head Chef at Serendipity Winery. He was born and raised in Vancouver, but has traveled and cooked all over the world.
Tristan takes Serendipity’s ‘food forward’ approach to winemaking to the next level, devoting his practice to creating dishes that pair perfectly with each of the wines.
Tristan’s resume includes internships at Michelin star restaurants, including Gaa by Chef Garmina Arora and Gaggan Andand, by Chef Gagagn Andand in Thailand. These experiences brought Tristan a familiarity with global flavours, and a newfound respect and discipline for the culinary arts.
At Serendipity Winery and Bistro, Tristan is focusing on local, rustic cuisine. Working with local farmers, he has created a light, refreshing menu that you might imagine eating in old world Europe between the vines.
This year, on top of his regular menu, Tristan will also be creating chef dinners on Friday, Saturday and Sundady nights, where he can let his creativity run wild. Come for the wine, and stay for the Serendipitous culinary adventure!
